FASTLINE FREIGHT ACHIEVES DOUBLE

Fastline Freight celebrated a double in November as it achieved the forecast maximum deployed capacity and marked the delivery of its one millionth tonne of coal for E.ON, one of the UK's leading power and gas companies.

Fastline Freight, part of the Jarvis plc group, launched the £40m five-year contract to haul coal via rail for E.ON in late May. With the arrival of the final locomotive it now has five train sets in service on the contract.

Steve Taylor, E.ON UK's fuel logistics manager, said: "Fastline Freight has quickly established itself as a vital part of E.ON's logistics chain by delivering a reliable, high quality service. They have demonstrated the depth of their expertise and a strong commitment to the success of our business. I have found the Fastline Freight team to be professional, innovative and a pleasure to work with. I am delighted to mark the delivery of their fifth locomotive and their millionth tonne of coal into Ratcliffe."
